This is S-Lab. Every bit of Salomon skate boot technology starts here, and accordingly, the S-Lab SNS Pilot Skate Boot exemplifies the top offerings in the Salomon line. Starting at the outsole, the S-Lab features the S-Lab series the exclusive, carbon fiber SNS Pilot 3 Racing outsole with R17 pivoting. Not just carbon fiber, this outsole features a 17mm rear set dual pivot. This means that the binding is situated further back on the foot, allowing your power to be more efficiently driven through the metatarsal. For comparison, Salomon's sport offerings are only rear set by 10mm.
For both comfort and stability, Salomon incorporated its 3D Energyzer cuff, Quicklace lacing system, Sensifit overlap construction, and heat moldable customization. Together, these engineering features create race-day levels of lateral ankle support, a complete enveloping interface between the foot and the boot, and a precise fore and aft positioning that reduces leg and ankle fatigue.
